Interactive sound sculpture
“Un-Controller” is a cube-shaped sound/illumination instrument device which can be played by audiences.
A viewer can change frequencies of sounds from three passive speakers contained in the box and colors of four RGB LEDs projected on the wall with a joystick on a top of the box.
With this interactive sculpture, viewers can literally be a controller of sound and light but while they certainly operate it, it is difficult to get the sense of controllership over what they are hearing and watching as unstable transitions of sound and color make the feeling of disorder and uncontrollability.
This is an anti-controller device which tries to deconstruct our controllership over object.
